Since our first project for MassDOT in 1982, we have had a long and accomplished history of collaboration with agencies in the transportation sector.
We provide cultural resource services for projects across all modes of transportation. Clients have utilized our services when planning highways, roads, airports, subways, rail corridors, bridges, bike paths, and lighthouses. Our talented staff help clients successfully navigate the cultural resource permitting processes for transportation improvements, from small municipal projects to large multi-year and multi-agency projects.
PAL conducts surveys and evaluations in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including NEPA, Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act, and state and local regulations.

Archaeological and historic resources evaluation to determine significance
Determinations of effects, preparation of Section 106 and Section 4(f) documentation, development of Memoranda of Agreement (MOA)
