Suzanne’s role as a principal investigator involves directing archival research, field assessment and excavation, data analyses, and report preparation for archaeological investigations.

Since joining PAL in 1987, she has directed over 400 cultural resource management projects in New England, New York, and New Jersey and has extensive experience in the coordination of projects requiring review under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, National Environmental Policy Act, and Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act. Suzanne specializes in Northeast historic urban and industrial archaeology and manages the archaeological aspects of all PAL’s work on dam removal and ecological restoration projects.

Suzanne received her BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and her MA in Classical Art History and Archaeology from the Université de Dijon-Bourgogne, France. She is a Registered Professional Archaeologist and is trained and certified in OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standards. She is a member of the Society for Historical Archaeology, Society for Industrial Archaeology, and Conference for New England Archaeology.
