Nate works on all phases of archaeological investigation in the Northeast for federal, state, and local agencies and for private clients.
Before joining PAL in 2014, he worked as an archaeological technician in upstate New York, a field archaeologist in Arizona, and an archaeologist in southern California with La Brea Tar Pits, the California Department of Transportation and California High Speed Rail Authority, and other agencies.
Nate received his BA in Anthropology from Ithaca College in New York. After seven years of working in cultural resource management and shortly before joining PAL, he pursued an interest in food history and received an MLA in Gastronomy from Boston University. He is trained and certified in OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standards and has completed Basic Wilderness First Aid Training.
