Jess works on all phases of archaeological investigations in the Northeast for federal, state, and local agencies and private clients.

She has supervised numerous PAL archaeological investigations on Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket and has worked on National Park Service projects at New River Gorge in West Virginia, Gettysburg in Pennsylvania and Minute Man National Historical Park in Massachusetts. 

Before joining PAL in 2012, Jess worked as an archaeological field technician, crew chief, and field director in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic with other cultural resource management firms. Her work included two large-scale cemetery relocation projects.

Jess received her BA in Anthropology with a concentration in Archaeology from the State University of New York at New Paltz. She is trained and certified in OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standards.
