Jennifer Banister

Jennifer has more than 25 years of experience in cultural resource management and joined PAL in 2004.

She specializes in post-contact archaeology in the Northeast and has extensive experience in urban and industrial archaeology. Her work includes archival research, field assessment and excavation, construction monitoring, data analysis, and report preparation for all phases of archaeological investigations for projects in New England, New York, and Pennsylvania. She helps plan and coordinate all aspects of archaeological investigations and supervises other archaeologists. 

Jennifer received her BA in Anthropology from Binghamton University in New York and completed the coursework for her MA in Historical Archaeology at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is trained and certified in OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standards, has completed training in Advanced Metal Detecting for the Archaeologist, and is a member of the Society for Historical Archaeology and the Council for Northeast Historical Archaeology.
