As Senior Architectural Historian at PAL, Liz assists clients with state and federal historic tax credit projects, National Register nominations, architectural surveys and effects assessments, and regulatory review and compliance.

She draws upon 15 years of historic preservation experience in the non-profit, public, and private sectors to offer clients nuanced expertise on a variety of projects. Liz’s previous positions include serving as Principal Architectural Historian at the RI Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission, where she authored and reviewed National Register nominations and coordinated long-range planning initiatives. Prior to joining PAL in 2024, Liz was a Preservation Planner managing historic tax credit projects and preparing National Register nominations, design review and permitting applications, and historic survey and effects assessments for offshore wind developments. 

Liz has held several leadership positions in the historic preservation field, including President of the New England chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians and Trustee of Providence Preservation Society. She holds an MS in Historic Preservation from The University of Vermont and a BA in History and Anthropology from Rhode Island College.
