Cathy works with PAL archaeologists, architectural historians, and production staff to create high-quality technical reports and other work products that convey the results of our investigations to clients and review agencies. She also assists in the preparation of print and online materials for the public as part of PAL’s public education efforts and works with staff to improve technical writing skills.

Before joining PAL in 2013, Cathy worked as a writer and editor at Dartmouth College and Brown University and held marketing communication positions at healthcare organizations. As a communication consultant for 10 years, she taught more than 500 writing and oral presentation skills seminars at over 150 medical centers throughout the United States and Canada.

Cathy received a BA in biology from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, and has significant experience in editing scientific manuscripts for publication in academic journals and books.
